Team Imagineers, the Community Arts Charity that created the COVID memorial panels in the Dr. George Rice Community Garden by the church, has been given the OK by the council to renew the mural in the alleyway. Team Imagineers is a Registered Charity and has now applied for funding. If they are successful in securing the funding, the project may well start in the spring.
This is really hopeful news, as the uplift of the alleyway was raised in the last meeting of members and trustees and is mentioned in the Churchyard Plan as one of our aspirations. We anticipate that FSNCY will be asked to help connect Team Imagineers with local schools and community groups as the project develops.
