Great work started in the Churchyard yesterday (Thursday 24th August 2023). Contractors began to clear dead wood and overgrowth from the trees. They were cutting back around the street lights to improve visibility. This is all work arising from the Churchyard Management Plan that we've been helping the Council develop. The meeting of the trustees and members of the Friends of St Nicholas Churchyard on 28th May 2023 has discussed Churchyard maintenance and Sight lines and safety had been called out as a matter of concern.
We can be pleased that things have moved so quickly.
