Last Sunday, June 11, 2023, 10 explorers ranging in age from 10 to quite a lot older met at St Nicholas Sutton for a walk-and-talk event. led by Jeff Richards. The talk was on "Extraneous Fossils" and the role of chalk and flint in Sutton's history.
Jeff is an unconventional historian, and his Talks and Walks are aimed at uncovering some of the untold stories from Sutton's past.
Sunday's 1-hour walk focused on the importance of chalk and flint in Sutton's development. Participants were taken on a journey through time and to B&Q. Jeff's light-hearted approach added a touch of fun to the experience
